Mauricio Sulaiman: “In the WBC, Crawford won’t find an opponent for a fight”

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman reacted to a series of accusations from Terence Crawford following the organization’s decision to strip the American of his title.

“I’ve already been told he said some horrible things. I’m not going to sink to that level. Terence Crawford is a boxer. The purpose of our organization is the boxer, and may God bless him — I wish him great success. He’s a great fighter, a world champion for 12 years, and he’s held belts from all four organizations.

But there is a structure. And if he made his decisions, that’s his right, and what he says is his business. But in the WBC, he won’t find an opponent for a fight. Definitely not,” said Sulaiman.
